After a long twenty four years once again India lifted a World Cup reached on September 24th at South Africa.
In the final of World Twenty-20 Cup India beat Pakistan by five runs to lift the maiden Twenty-20 Cup.
With out the big guns like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, and Zaheer Khan the young Indian Team lifts the World Cup.
Each member of this team played their role extremely well in this tournament.
India beat all top teams in the event like Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, and England.
This is purely a team effort.

We have done it!
Right from the beginning of the tournament no one including Indian fans, never thought that India will clinch the trophy without their top players.
Two months before we went to England for test series as well as one day series. We reached there after playing in Scotland with South Africa and the home nation. After the complete tour program with England India reached South Africa only two days before their first match against Scotland.

They did not get enough time to play at least one practice match in South Africa. They do not know the actual flow of the game because they had never play a 20-20 match ever before except one against South Africa early in 2006.
The other teams like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, West Indies, England all have a strong 20-20 background. And Pakistan is also in our group.
After the first match against Scotland washed out by the rain India has to play against Pakistan in a do or die match for the qualification for the Super eight.
India won that match by bowl out (3-0). We got full points from that match and became the group champion.
In the first match in super eight New Zealand beat India by 10 runs, the only one loss in the entire tournament. After that India beat South Africa and England.
In the Semi-final it was the mighty Ausis who were ready beat any team in the world of cricket. But then also the final smile was with us.

It was once again, Pak team is ready to play against us in the final. After some dramatic moments India once again managed to keep their “never loss to Pakistan in a world cup match” record safely.
When the ball ends it’s journey through air from Misbah-Ul-Haq’s bat to Sreesanth, it is the end of our long waiting for a world cup after 1983.
The reception which given to the champions at Mumbai show the extreme joyful moment of each and every Indians.
